Whoever donates in this month even by half of a date, God will forbid his body from hell. Whoever fasts three days of Shaban and connects them to the month of Ramadan, God will give him the reward for the two complete months”

Porphet Muhammad (PBUHH) once said: “O people of Yathrib, I bring the message of Allah’s Messenger (S) to you all. Verily, Sha’ban is my month; therefore, may Allah have mercy upon him who helps me undertake my month.”

"Exalted is He who took His Servant by night from al-Masjid al-Haram to al-Masjid al- Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing." (17,1) This Quranic verse demonstrates the magnanimity of this day where the great Prophet of Islam was taken on a mission to publicize Allah's universal message of peace and compassion.

Let us learn from the holy household of Prophet Muhammad (PBUT) to never forget the remembrance and mercy of Allah.

Throughout his blessed life, Prophet Muhammad (PHUHH) emphasized on the importance of taking care and respecting ones mother to the extent that the Holy Prophet states "Heaven lies beneath the feet of mothers." Let us take advantage of a month which the Holy Prophet (PBUHH) described, "Rajab is the month of Allah, and Sha'ban is my month." Thus let us not waste any opportunity of this month that gets us closer to Allah the Almighty.

Al-Majlisi narrates in his book "BIhar Al-Anwar" on the authority of Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (PBUH) who states "Prayer visits to ones own relatives prolongs the life of a person and prevents poverty and indigence."
