Use WKB to calculate the phase shift in one dimension of a particle of mass m confined by the parabolic potential

SOLUTION
The potential V(x) in the present problem is zero for x > 0. The integral in this region cancels the term –kx. To the left of the origin, the turning point is

The integral over dx again equals C2π/4. The phase shift is linear with energy and has a constant term.
