Is it possible to rehabilitate children educationally?

We must not despair when we see a child’s behavior that is inconsistent and chaotic, nor think that everything between us and the child is over and that we cannot fix it. We must not despair because every human being carries with him the ability to influence and be affected until the end of his life, and there are several ways to the possibility of rehabilitation, including:

First: Rehabilitation is possible at the hands of the person himself, meaning that the person can achieve righteousness and success by himself through his management of himself and his monitoring of it.

Second: If our children have been afflicted with mistakes and violations, or if some of them have bad character, they can move towards reform by living in a good manner followed by parents and educators.

Third: The presence of the possibility of rehabilitation in individuals, because their nature is a divine nature, and it is based on the standards of truth and justice and is characterized by goodness, purity, good character, redemption, sacrifice, honesty, and honesty.

Fourth: There is no child who is malicious and evil by nature; because the nature of any human being is not such that he would be a criminal or a bad person. Rather, he has the choice to choose good or evil.

Fifth: The ability to transform a person. If a child is taught a thing or an idea in a certain manner, he will accept it, and this matter in itself is fertile ground for the hopes of the educator on his path to raising the child.

Sixth: The child, as is customary, is submissive to those who are older than him and who are good to him. He is thirsty for love and tenderness, and this matter in itself is a positive point in the hands of the educator.

Seventh: There are many quarrelsome children who cause trouble and misery to their parents and educators today, but tomorrow they will be good people with a level of education.

Eighth: We must not be alarmed by the violations of our children today, and we must not despair of raising them gradually, even with difficulty and effort. The child is constantly changing, so who can be certain that his tomorrow will not be better than his today?

Ninth: The more the child who violates the law shows resistance to the educator, his work, and his methods, the weaker the possibility of his rehabilitation. Therefore, parents and educators must gain his affection and trust as a first step, then direct him to improve himself on his own, and this is the art of the educator.
