abducted (adj.)

abessive (adj./n.) A term used in GRAMMATICAL DESCRIPTION to refer to a type of INFLECTION which expresses the meaning of absence, such as would be expressed in English by the PREPOSITION ‘without’. The abessive CASE (‘the abessive’) is found in Finnish, for example, along with ADESSIVE, INES and several other cases expressing ‘local’ temporal and spatial meanings.
