Steffensen Sequence
A sequence
where 
is a Sheffer sequence, 
is invertible, and 
ranges over the real numbers. If 
is an associated Sheffer sequence, then 
is called a cross sequence. If

is called an Appell cross sequence.
An example is the Laguerre polynomial.
