Live within the scope of your day, and do not worry about the future. Live for your day until it is time to sleep, as the Messenger of Allah recommended to the companion Abu Dharr:
“When you wake up, do not talk to yourself about the evening, and when you arrive in the evening, do not talk to yourself about the morning.”
When thoughts of the problem are hovering on your mind and you are unable to get rid of anxiety and your mood is bad and you are searching for serenity and peace of mind, you should use this magic recipe:
Bring a pen and paper and write in clear handwriting the following questions:
What is the worst possibility that I fear will happen because of this thing that worries me?
What is my plan to prepare psychologically and mentally to accept the worst possibilities if necessary?
How will I save and preserve what can be saved and preserved among the losses incurred by that bad possibility?
After writing down these questions, focus your thinking on them and on answering them without following distractions and sub-thoughts, so that you will find yourself faced with a realistic picture that can turn anxiety into happiness.
Finally, remind yourself of some of those lying in hospitals and some of those who died because of being drawn into anxiety, for anxiety has a heavy toll on your health and your life.
