Although shy adults blame their parents or brothers and sisters for “creating” their shyness, I do not believe that parents should bear the burden of their child’s shyness. In the living laboratory of your home, you and your children can experiment with behavioral patterns and take some risks, which they would not, of course, take outside the safe environment of the home. Then, when you are ready, transfer what you have learned to the outside world and help your child become successful despite his shyness. You have complete freedom to integrate with people, evaluate things, and adjust them according to the needs of your shy child, which are unique to him and others.
