On Monday, Meta announced a number of updates that enhance the video viewing feature in the social network Facebook.
And the American technology giant said in a post on her blog that video is an essential thing on Facebook, which confirms that since 2007 it has started to provide the ability to publish short videos.
Now users can post reels, long-form videos, and live broadcasts, which, according to the company, allow them to watch videos about things they like, or new things they want to know, as well as interact with real people with similar interests. .
Today, Meta said in her post: “We continue to invest heavily in video, so today we're announcing the latest ways we can enable people to create, discover, and interact with videos on Facebook.”
The company said that it has started launching updates that will bring more tools for editing short videos (Reels) to the Facebook feed, in addition to the ability to upload videos with (high dynamic range) HDR technology, and it also made a change to the Watch tab.
And Facebook previously allocated the tab called Facebook Watch as a place to watch videos in the social network, but now it is called Video only.
The company said that the new tab is "the one-stop-shop for all videos on Facebook, including: (Reels), long-form content, and live content."
Users can scroll vertically through a "custom feed" of videos, and while scrolling, there will also be sections (Reels) that contain short videos.
Meta says the tab will start appearing in the shortcut bar "soon."
And with the new Reels video editing tools, users can do things like add voice, text, and audio to videos with ease.
Meta also said that users will be able to upload HDR videos from the phone, and noted that this step represents "our first effort to bring true HDR video support to our suite of apps."
Meta is also working to enhance integration between its applications, by allowing users to view and write comments in short videos (Rails) on Instagram, when they are watching them on Facebook.
