Chose pious brothers
Trusting someone – with a full knowledge of him is considered a wrong relationship. And that is why many young boys and girls regret their haste relationships, and the emotional rush in starting relations that are based on coincidence or circumstances like school collage or public parties …
This kind of relationships, mostly have negative results. So if you didn’t consider friendship boundaries and morals; you can’t judge it positive or negatively, unless we have a prove for the relationship.
And some of the exposing boundaries are what AL Imam AL Sadiq (peace be upon him) Talked about:
“Be careful to accompany who wants you for greed, fear or food and drink, and ask choose pious people even in the darkest places of earth and even if you spend your life in searching.”
Greed and fear are both considered to be selfish motives to start a relationship , which vanishes as soon as they are gone , And some people see that good food and money as a bond in a friendship , and as soon as they are gone, the bond will go away and they will forget you and never care about you !!
We face so many people like that “fake friends” who contact us, as long as we are a source of comfort or benefit … and soon as we lose that, they stop contacting and don’t consider us as their brothers! while pious which is the source of dignity and head of morals as described by Al-Imam Ali (peace be upon him) the best criteria in brotherhood , The great Allah said :” Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous " and this is why Al Imam AL- Sadiq (peace be upon him ) emphasize to have a pious friends only ; for this bound doesn’t contain temporary interests , and seeking such friends , worth trouble and patience in searching even if they were in a far land on earth .
And even if someone spent his life searching for a pious friend, that wouldn’t be wrong, and it is even better because of the blessings that you will get in this life and the one after … so be smart and careful not to waste your time with the immoral people who will spend your life useless subjects and filthy stories about this and that, and then forgets about you as soon as you have no longer benefit for him.
