Recomposition of White Light. - Since the spectrum is formed by the unequal dispersion of white light, it is possible to reproduce white light by bringing all the spectrum colors toone place. This can be done by using a second prism reversed, a concave mirror, or a convex lens.
Demonstration.- Set up a prism in a dark room and let the sunlight strike it through a slit in the shutter. Let the spectrum fall upon a second prism which is reversed. The spectrum colors being brought together will produce a brilliant white line.
