Intractable Anger
2:3:35 2024-12-29 1369

If a person's moral character is balanced and calm, and he is sometimes overcome by a wave of anger and agitation, he will quickly regret it, because that fleeting state of anger does not match his moral character and psychological state. However, if his character is naturally sharp, he will never regret it if he gets angry and agitated, and continues his bad behavior. The Commander of the Faithful, Ali (peace be upon him), described these two characters as temporary madness and intractable madness.

He (peace be upon him) said: (Intenseness is a type of madness, because its owner regrets, and if he does not regret it, then his madness is intractable).
