Parents and educators have a number of great responsibilities and duties that they must fulfill towards their children; any shortcoming or negligence in this area will play a role in the youth's decline and fall into the abyss, and this result may not be apparent quickly, but it will certainly emerge in the future.
Carrying out responsibilities requires a high level of awareness of this stage and its requirements, and they must expend a lot of effort to achieve and accomplish these requirements. Here we point out some tips that parents and educators must pay attention to:
First: Love: Always tell the young man that you love him and like him, and one of the ways to control your friendship with the young man is to give him some gifts from time to time, without expecting anything from him.
Second: The importance of knowledge: We must make the young man interested in knowledge, as Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) advised us to be either workers or learners, and in a hadith from Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) he said: (The seeker of knowledge is forgiven by everything, even the whales in the seas and the birds in the sky).
Third: Finding suitable job opportunities for the young man: One of the duties that parents and educators have is to provide job opportunities for the young man so that they can fill their free time, and it is preferable that the work be collective.
There is nothing wrong with the work providing the young man with an amount of money, but it is required that it does not cause him trouble.
Fourth: Self-reliance: The young man's spirit of self-reliance must be strengthened, so that he gradually solves his problems by himself. Therefore, parents must give their children some responsibilities, and let them do them themselves and with complete freedom, so if they accomplish them, they should thank them and appreciate them for that.
Fifth: Organizing work: The young man must learn the correct way to organize and program his work. And not to stumble in accomplishing his affairs. The young man has a sharp intelligence that may make him rush to complete some tasks and this will harm his work, and without him realizing it, so he must be taught to organize and program things.
Sixth: Obedience: At the same time that the educator must not neglect the young man, he must make him obedient to him without forcing him or compelling him to carry out his orders. The educator must also be careful not to use the young man's means and things, because the young man considers this an infringement on his freedom and dignity.
Seventh: Keep him away from psychological pressures: Young people feel severe psychological disturbances, and they feel fear. Therefore, it is necessary to stay away from things that cause them other psychological disturbances, because they will double their fear and suspicion. So try to strengthen the young man's will, so that he can get rid of these psychological pressures.
