The father should refrain from pushing his son towards rebellion and disobedience, as this in itself is considered a reason for his deviation and distance from his father and the disappearance of the opportunity to build. Some may wonder: Are there any parents who do this and push their child towards rebellion and disobedience?
We say, with great regret, that yes, there are parents who indirectly force their children to disobey, rebel, and deviate, and this can happen in different ways and under multiple pretexts. For example, they force them to do work that they do not have the ability to perform, or they demand things from them that they are unable to accomplish, or they behave with them in a way that raises surprise, and this does not suit their status and personalities.
In these cases, we see that the boy resorts to disobedience and takes the path of rebellion. This objection is true regarding these parents, which is why they pushed their children to this work, as it was reported from the Noble Prophet (may Allah’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family) that he cursed such parents.
The father should behave with his child in a way that makes them eager to obey his commands, and even feel a mutual benefit with the father if they implement his instructions.
The orders and prohibitions must be in such a way that the child is not forced to be stubborn and stand up to them.
