According to Dr. Yelena Solomatina, a Russian nutrition expert, excessive tea drinking can cause tachycardia and headaches.

She says: “When drinking tea in excessive quantities, the burden on the kidneys increases, as does the nervous system’s tension.”

It is recommended to drink no more than 4-5 cups of green tea or 3-4 cups of black tea, because tea, like coffee, contains caffeine, which can negatively affect health.

“The person will first start taking his anger out on his loved ones and relatives, and then, since any psychoactive substance depletes the adrenal reserves, the opposite reaction may occur, i.e. lethargy and stupor,” she says.

For his part, Dr. Yevgeny Arzamastsev, a Russian nutrition expert, points out that excessive drinking of tea and coffee can negatively affect the condition of the bones, because they remove calcium from the body, which is responsible for the health of bone tissue. Sweetened soft drinks also have this same effect.
