Samsung unveiled the new SmartTag 2 devices that can be relied upon to find and track many things if they are lost.

The new devices are distinguished from SmartTag devices by a completely different design, as they have a somewhat oval-shaped structure, and are equipped with a hanging hole supported by a metal frame from the inside to protect them from corrosion and scratching.

SmartTag 2 has excellent water and dust resistance according to the IP67 standard, as it can remain at a depth of one meter under water for about half an hour. It is also equipped with an external rubber case that protects it from shocks.

These devices are equipped with a replaceable internal battery that operates for 500 days, and can operate for 700 days in energy saving mode.

SmartTag 2 works with Samsung smart devices through the SmartThings application, which has new technologies that make it easier to find them and the things they are attached to. The application also now alerts users if they are tracked by unknown SmartTag devices.

Samsung will launch it in global markets in two colors: white and black, at a price of approximately $30.
