Pocket money is not a reward for a child for his good behavior, and deprivation of it is not a punishment imposed on him if he misbehaves.
Pocket money is, in fact, a lesson in behavior that has its specific goals, and the child should be trained in the proper use of money, and bear the responsibilities of disposing of it.
Do not say to your daughter: You will get, my dear, a large sum of money if you help (Mama) to wash the dishes, and if you water the trees in the garden, you will have a greater expense.
With such things we prepare our children to do good and then extend their hand after that to get the paid.
It is unacceptable for a child to raise such a slogan in the face of what is being asked of him.
We may turn them into hoarders and misers if we try to cultivate in them the love of money, just as we may push them to be extravagant if we do not train them to spend.
Teach your child that money is not everything in life, and that there are many things that money cannot buy, and that money cannot value, such as virtue, honor, honesty, and kindness.
