Islam has legislated special laws to protect the poor who really deserve help, and for the purpose of combating mental illness in which they are in captivity. Thus, we find that the Islam guarantees the minimum of their needs from the general resources of the treasury, allowing them to live dearly... On the other hand, we find that it respects their personality in its legal and moral approaches, and takes into account their emotions completely.
The poor are not deprived of social dignity and legal respect due to lack of funds. A Muslim has no right to look at the poor with contempt and insult. Faithful and moral poverty is the source of despicableness and misery for man in the eyes of realistic believers, and they see in moral and spiritual riches a reason for elevation of status and high status, not material wealth.
Realistic believers may be deprived of some things because of their poverty, but they do not feel insignificant in themselves. Belief in God gives them strength and a strong spiritual character so that poverty cannot control them and keep them away from reckoning... These individuals existed in past ages, and they still exist in our present age.
