The beauty of a person and his good speech lie in the truth, but speech without sincerity has no spirit in it, as it contradicts the value of justice, truth, goodness, nobility, and virtue. Speech without truthfulness is evil of speech, and the cause of corruption, in contrast to the truth, which is (the best of speech), and the cause of righteousness of affairs.
The tongue, being the most widely used expressive tool for man, and as the means expressing his attitudes and needs, he must use it honestly in his affairs and dealings with people. One of the most dangerous things that threaten the human relationship with rift and schism is distancing oneself from the truth in speaking, and resorting to lying! Lying is not one of the signs of believers, nor is it among the signs of righteous people, rather it is one of the signs of hypocrites who say one thing, and the truth is something else. Accordingly, lying in dealing with people is a great offense against them and a betrayal, and a shovel for destroying the building of that dealing. And people by their nature tend to those who speak truth to them and repel those who lie to them.
