Dr. Alexander Myasnikov announced that headache is nothing but an annoying phenomenon and can be relieved by resting, changing the place, or taking analgesic medications.
But a headache may be a symptom of a serious illness. So what are the causes of headaches?
According to Myasnikov, everyone suffers from headaches, regardless of gender and age, but you should pay attention if the nature of your usual headaches changes one day.
And he says: "A change in the nature of the headache and its increase in intensity may indicate that it is necessary to determine its cause, to see if there is an aneurysm in the blood vessels, or a tumor, even if it is benign, although all tumors in the head are malignant."
Myasnikov points out that there are types of headaches:
-Local headache: This headache intensifies when the position of the body changes, and as a rule, this headache intensifies when the head is tilted forward and when coughing. This headache may indicate an increased level of intracranial pressure.
-Non-traumatic headache: We must identify the painful side of the head, because it may be a sign of a pathological infection before the body temperature rises. And when the temperature rises, it may indicate meningitis or ear diseases.
He says, "Headache with lethargy, drowsiness, and a change in behavior indicates a disease infection."
- Headache and tension without a high temperature may indicate inflammation of the walls of the arteries that pass through the temporal lobe. This can be diagnosed "manually" and a general blood test. An elevated erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is one indicator.
- Migraines. When a person suffers from glaucoma, the headache often resembles a migraine attack.
-Cluster headache: This painful headache often develops on one side around the eye socket or in the temple area, accompanied by tears.
Myasnikov points out that there are at least 600 types of headaches. It is important to see a doctor and not to take painkillers without discipline, as they may lead to the development of headaches into chronic headaches.
