Bad behavior, the consumption of alcohol and narcotics, selfish habits like as sexual immorality and adultery, gambling and taking an interest in business, envy, backbiting arrogance, and anger are all prohibited in the Quran. ‘Give up these for sanity and happiness,’ the Quran instructs, because individuals who engage in these vices are bound in a degrading circle of evil that makes their own and others’ lives miserable.
